The lowdown:

Tim hooks the viewer from the first moment by telling them what the video is about and what they’re going to learn.

He lists his tips in easy-to-digest chunks with a set number of items. This increases watch time because psychologically people know there are more tips to come.

His branding (his logo and channel slogan) is very quick and to the point.

He starts every video by giving his name and why he does this. This is known as the channel’s creed – the driving belief behind the content.

He incorporates viewer comments into his videos, which spurs engagement and makes the viewers feel listened to.

He uses on-screen graphics to reinforce what he wants you to learn.

And he offers an ebook at the end of every video, giving viewers the opportunity to sign up for his email list where he can market to them and provide more value off of YouTube.
